Yes, every tree lives behind its own family password at its own address. Nothing is public, nothing is indexed by search engines, and there are no ads. Only people with the password (or a claimed profile) can see anything.
What does Twigs cost?
Twigs is free to start. Create your tree, invite the whole family, add photos and moments, no credit card required.
How do family members join?
Share your tree's address and family password. Relatives find their card on the tree, claim it with their email (a 6-digit code, no passwords to remember), and from then on they keep their own profile current.
Can we use our own domain?
Yes. Every tree gets an address like yourfamily.twigs.family, and you can connect a custom domain, like smithfamily.com, from Family settings, with step-by-step DNS instructions.
What happens when someone marries into another Twigs family?
Twigs is built for exactly that. One account can belong to several trees, a new tree can start pre-filled with your household, and the same person's cards stay linked and in sync across trees.
Can I import an existing family tree?
Yes. Upload a photo, scan, or PDF of an existing tree, even a hand-drawn chart, and Twigs drafts the first version for you. You review the draft before anything lands on your canvas, and everything stays editable afterward.
